Bornite over pyrite - Milpillas mine - Cuitaca - santa Cruz Municipality - Sonora - Mexico (#:GM23027)

A thin dark layer of bornite covers the surface of the pyrites visible on this specimen. On the main one (18 mm.) there are some small areas where the golden yellow color of the underlying pyrite can be seen. The matrix is made by white clay and provides a stark color contrast.
